So busy this week.. PBL is going along very horribly, can't think of what to post for the environmental blog, and the blog skin, and every single aspect of the blog must be perfect, because i really need the mark! To make up for the F9 i got for the maths test. Must study history now, so:
Civilisation is:
When a group of people come together and speak the same language, eat the same type of food, obey the same rules and laws, and follow the same customs and traditions which is copied directly from the textbook.
Where does a civilisation start?
It generally starts at someplace which has plenty of sunshine and rainfall, it is normally also located near a river. The reason is because those conditions make it ideal for farming.
I can't actually remember what the teacher taught, so to me studying is reading the textbook.
The Language of time:
BC (Before Christ)and BCE(Before Common Era), AD(Anno Dominno-In the year of our lord), CE(Common Era)
The 3 C's
Consistency(is the evidence given consistent?), Corroboration(does the evidence given support the evidence that already exists?), Credibility(is the person giving the evidence Credible? ate they biased?)
Forms of Evidence/sources
Primary sources(they are provided by people who had actually involved, or they witnessed it)-Written evidence, Pictorial evidence (Pictures), Oral evidence, Artefact
Secondary Sources-(records by people who did NOT experience it) newspaper articles
PEECK
P-Point (provide a brief summary of what you want to say..source X shows that..)
E-Evidence (what is given, picture, article,etc...Source X says..)
E-Explanation (Explain! This implies that...)
CK-Contextual Knowledge (always start with...Based on my contextual knowledge... Do not repeat your point at the end!)
I have no idea why i typed about HISTORY! I guess im too nervous of the test, and maths! today was normal and rather boring. PE was okay for once, becuase of the lovely aircon which i cherish so much. The weather seems rather good, it is raining, hopefully tomoro it will still rain! Thought lighting and thunder are rather scary, and it makes me difficult to fall asleep, but no mass run is still much better
now you notice i talk a lot!
